spinnybrunette User Info... | Have to say, wow, what an odd venue. You walk up the stairs and go through the night club portion that blasts canned music like your typical Beyonce/Jay-Z type stuff, enter the back room and you have got your power metal blasting. The room in the back is smaller and more intimate. Things have really changed since I was last there, in 1996. Hmmm, gee Dorothy we're not in Kansas anymore. The only thing that remained exactly the same from back when it was club Paradise were the stairs entering the venue and the washrooms were exactly the same as they were back then. Ahhh memories. Divinity are definitely worth the hype. They played a great set of tight metal, vocalist was impressive as he could change at the drop of a hat from dirty to clean vocals. I am always into that sort of thing. These Calgarians are here for a few days and will be playing Sat night at the Brickyard so go and check them out. Omega Crom was, as always in fine form. Every time I see them they are consistant, very tight and vocalist Stu is great. How can you not be impressed with that range of his? Stu was celebrating his birthday so cheers to that. They delivered their stuff in fine form and drummer Colin, Holds the fort down well. His real strength is in his tom work. Always a pleasure to see. Overall, they are a strong band and definitely one that we will see do great things. Again check this show out at the Brickyard tonight, one that you will not want to miss. - Sat, 27 Nov 2004 9:23am | ||
