Matheus Terra

Matheus Terra is an accomplished audio engineer and audio educator, originally from Brazil and currently residing in Canada, teaching at the Victoria Conservatory of Music’s School of Music Technology & Creativity, as well as leading various audio recording and production projects within the school. As of September 2024, Matheus also teaches Early Childhood Music classes at daycares and preschools throughout Greater Victoria.

He holds an honours degree in Music Education from the University of São Carlos (UFSCar Brazil) and a master’s in music technology from the University of Victoria (UVic Canada). His expertise lies in sound recording and music production, encompassing classical and popular music recording, editing, multi-track recording, contemporary post-production techniques, multi-track mixing, and audio mastering.

Beyond his role as an audio engineer and educator, he is actively engaged as a skilled songwriter and composer, boasting over 13 years of experience in both acoustic and electric guitar performances.
