Phone: 604-688-7803 Novamira Entertainment presents the FAN WARS 3: Finale - Tuesday, May 24th at the home of rock and roll on Granville Street's Entertainment Row, The Buffalo Club. The final 3 groups performing are: FERA - the country-rock powerhouse led by twin sisters Stephanie and Courtney Fera have an unusual sound that is an eclectic mix blending acoustic with country rock. Influenced by Patty Griffin, the Everly Brothers, Bryan Adams, Fleetwood Mac, and the Beatles, Fera attract discriminating audiences who embrace music that goes beyond 'in-the-box' description. The identical twins have done just that while continuing to satisfy with their captivating harmonies, adding a remarkable dimension that simply can't be replicated. STAND DOWN - One of Vancouver's hottest hard rock groups. Stand Down combines rock sensibilities with metal and funk. The overwhelming crowd response at their recent shows attests to their unstoppable energy onstage and gifted songwriting. Emotional. Descriptive. Melodic Lyrical. Musical bursts of dynamic energy. Stand Down gets the crowd involved early and often. INFINITISM - These Vancouver Island transplants have evolved from the fusion of a punk metal band, a folk rock trio, and the influence of a classically trained cello freak. For almost three years, this band has practically lived, breathed and eaten their music. Two years of playing the Island scene was enough time for the band to solidify their style, and convince them to move to the larger and more active music scene in Vancouver.
