Anarchoblitz User Info... | thanks to burnside buddies for saving the day on this one.....fucking cops! It was great to see people helping out and working hard to ensure that the show kept going. Sorry to the folks that didn't know where it was moved to, we couldn't really leave a message for the pigs on the warehouse door! Still the turnout was really good and the support was there. The bands were all very powerful with a great mix of musical styles, all united by politics and DIY ethics. - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 12:28pm
brad User Info... | too bad the hillside venue was shut down. the last show there was awesome, possibly the best all ages location in vic. well...was anyways. we all packed up and headed on over to the burnside house, frantically cleaned up the room and set up the p.a. (special shout out to shew who as always, got everything up and running in an organized fashion). the bands and people arrived and proceeded to rock the crowd that had lingered long enough at hillside to be made aware of the move to burnside.i was outside for passion revolt..but they sounded great. i must say that Brat Attack just keep getting better every time i see them and this time had the pleasure of seeing their female singer, great presence on stage and the drummer was really good. Mass Grave really blow me away, can't wait to play more shows with these guys, great intensity and power, and super nice dudes to boot! BWD played the most intoxicated set they've done in a long long time, and apart from a few major screw ups...managed to pull off the usuall sloppy poo breaks with not too much difficulty. Iskra just fucking slayed, their new singer is really good, personally i didn't feel she made them "better" as someone else stated, but just different, she actually sang with a lower pitch than scott does, interesting, it didnt have quite the same assult that shawn had...but really really good none the less. amazing devon could still play reasonably well after drinking so much! but in such a relaxed atmosphere no one seemed to mind! the sound at this show was the best i've ever witnessed at burnside, drum mic's and a more powerfull p.a. are a must from now on! in the end a great night of bands and a good crowd considering how things got started, good luck with the up island shows guys! - Mon, 23 Aug 2004 9:04am
