Tyler User Info... | A great deal of local artists already submit their music to CFUV. I hope you're not arranging for bands to give you, individually, copies of their stuff. That's how this sounds but I could totally be misinterpreting. Anyway, bands that are interested in being played can drop their stuff off with Justin, in the basement at CFUV during office hours. Or, they can mail it to the address on the website. This ensures that all DJs have access to the music. Local music is always denoted with a little "local" note on the yellow tag that gets inserted into every chart release. My advice to you is to go through the chart releases that look interesting, if you aren't familiar with what's local. I usually spend about an hour each week listening to the new chart releases, separating the 10% or so of good stuff from the heaps of crap. Most people who even read this comment are probably in a band falling into one of the 90% latter. Exciting local chart releases as of lately include the Aaargh annual compilation, Tough As Nails' last release, Italian Edition, a weird ska band whose name I forget... they have russian stuff on the cover...Griphin's stuff, a compilation of recorded 7"s including Immaculate Machine, I'm sure there's more but that's the stuff that comes to mind. -Tyler of Pterodactyl Sneak Attack... sweet I'm in the cfuv myspace top 8 and there's a video of Troy (The Action Index) and I playing guitar hero - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 2:16am | ||
