Friday September 17– Casbah! w/ The Notes From Underground + Bella & guests
THE NOTES FROM UNDERGROUND are one of Vancouver's most promising bands and accordingly they have seen their profile rise considerabley over the past year. From dates opening for Ted Leo & The Pharmacists to headlining shows at almost ever local venue in town these guys are on fire. Mixing the dirty sounds of NYC rock circa early 70's with classic indie rock influences from such seminal bands as Pavement, Pixies and Sebadoh, The Notes have come up with a prefect formula. Lately they have been showcasing many new unrecorded songs and the crwod response has been greater then ever for these likely lads.
Boasting classic boy/girl harmonies combined with insatiable hooks and immediate, sing-along songwriting, BELLA is poised on the verge of winning the hearts and affections of music lovers worldwide. Theirs is a wonderful brand of melody-driven indie power pop with a penchant for the occasional moment of atmospheric introspection, while never sacrificing the essential pop hook, the likes of which will leave you humming their anthemic choruses for days afterwards. Sporting aggressive guitars, noodling synthesizers and the odd drum machine, Bella's greatest strength is found in the complex set of influences that each member contributes to the writing and performance of these memorable songs.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
