_Griphin_ User Info... | A surprising CD, I listened to the entire thing, not a bad song on the disc. Although I had to listen to it a few times before I really liked it. And Bob Rock, who produced the album, didn't pull a "St. Anger" on the way it was produced. Thumbs up!!! Oh and there gonna release it on vinyl too. - Fri, 13 Jun 2008 12:16pm Edited: Fri, 13 Jun 2008 12:22pm
Zedius User Info... | I heard the single on the radio. Sounds like good offspring! Their credibility still stinks of urine, but I don't really care as long as the music's good. - Mon, 16 Jun 2008 11:15am
Andrew User Info... | i didnt really like a lot of the effects on the guitars but i guess thats what they were lookin for..the slow songs aren't really too flattering either but all in all it's better than the last cd.. splinter. even with the modern blondie/abba drum beats in track 3 and the redundant red/black routine on the cover that reminds you just of american idiot as a lot of the songs, im still a pretty big offspring fan. Cheesy Labels suck..but id buy a ticket if they came to town and prob the actual cd for my road trip to arizona lol (dont want them locking me up at the border for having a bunt cd :|) - Wed, 25 Jun 2008 9:24pm Edited: Wed, 25 Jun 2008 9:45pm
Andrew User Info... | wow after listening to it again...the majority of the cd is american idiot songs...im serious. :/ wtF ? Especially the last song "Rise and fall" It's the title track..and it sounds exactly like the title track of american idiot. check it out...it even has the same solo..wtf......maybe it's a parody..maybe the whoel cd is..lol. that'd be funny. - Wed, 25 Jun 2008 9:59pm Edited: Wed, 25 Jun 2008 10:00pm
Andrew User Info... | oh and then "half-truism", the "Helena" (my chemical romance) ripoff of another red and black cd cover band lol. - Wed, 25 Jun 2008 10:02pm Edited: Wed, 25 Jun 2008 10:02pm
Zedius User Info... | Ugh. That's sick. No shit sellout band is getting my benefit of the doubt again. Ripping off greenday at their worst? Speaking of ripoffs and greenday, have you guys ever seen stray cat strut by the stray cats? Hitching a ride anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGg3_T_FcOQ - Thu, 26 Jun 2008 8:46am
Doc User Info... | I don't think Greenday is hitching a ride on the Stray Cat's coat tails or image, I just think that the dude from Greenday happens to look like a young Brian Setzer. Unless you were implying that Stray Cats were hitching a ride on Greenday's image, but no, that would be stupid, because Stray cats released their first record when Greenday were still shitting in their diapers. ~My God is bigger than your God. Zedius User Info... | I'm saying the song and video "Hitching a ride" is a direct ripoff of (or profitable homage to) this video and song by the Stray Cats. Considering how I can't find anything out about this on the internet (like interviews where Billy says "Oh yeah, we love those guys. We based a single off them.") I have to assume that it's a ripoff. - Sun, 29 Jun 2008 11:22am
