DTjackson User Info... | The Hives get a lot of flack and I think a lot of people would put down this album even though they never heard it but this is the first CD I've bought from them and Im very impressed. No, it's not perfect but the production is just so good. So many layers. One of those CDs you put on and each time you hear something in the background you didn't hear before which works really well on this album. I also enjoy the difference in the tracks. You've got your Hives punk songs, some slower 60's tinged numbers...but then you have piano songs and more hip hop flavoured numbers which shocked me. It takes a few listens to appreciate. The only thing keeping this album from being perfect is a song named Giddy Up which is just too silly for words and doesn't stack up to the other 13 tracks. - Sat, 24 Nov 2007 1:46am | ||
