rP User Info... | Ok, I'm slammed for time, this is quick so anyone who can add anything, DO IT! Cuz Vday messes me up I cranked slayer for 2 hrs before I got to the show, and I'd have thought after that the night would pale in comparison, butevery band kinda ripped. That chick in Enterotome easilyearned all the praise I'd heard about her, probably the best female death vocals i the city, lots of attitude, mtal vixen look. She has my vote for definately oneof the top 2 or 3 most convincing females in local metal, one I'll want to keep my eye on in the near future. i'm always looking for that intensity to hold up throughout a set, andshe didn't ace it this time but I could tell she could if she kept her eye on it. While she of course is meant to be the center point, no dissin' the band - all pretty tight, they as a unit had me for maybe the first half of their set and once\in a while through the rest. Self Regime, from what I remember from their profile on here is: Stef from Myopia, 9th Hr (etc probably) Stu from Omega Crom (etc probably) Jay from the Golers (etc probably) Jay who was with Speeddealer for a while (etc for sure) - if you want to know more, you can go check it yourself I was hyped abot this cuz I'm a big fan of Stef's - not everything he does, but he has a great touch on his solos, and theycertainly reveal something about him purging stuff through his playing, which I love. Yeah, this band was tight, thrsh, death with screams and a bit cleaner vocals (?? from what I remember) at times, so kinda varied. I'm bad with terms, sorry. Anyway everyone had high expectations for them, given who they all are, so itshard to judge fairly. If we didn't know where they came from we'd say we were blown away... since we do I think the general concensus is yeah, they were killer, obviously. Individually as players and as a unit, gelling together and putting out huge energy. Will definatley see them again, wouldn't miss it. oh and both bands, theatrical, theatrical, theatrical. hacked up animals, spewing blood, funneling beer throiugh skulls. fucking metalheads, haha. Golers. Golers always rock. no shit don't ever miss them. sorry for typos, no time. - Mon, 16 Feb 2004 9:35am | ||
