| Tim Z User Info... | Purchased about 8 years ago brand new. Has seen very little *live* use. Has been primarily used in a smoke free studio. Excellent condition with Svetlana 6L6 power tubes. Currently has a Weber C12CA in it, but can sell with either the original EV Black Shadow or the Weber. $1800 OBO. Will consider trade for a 65 Super Reverb reissue or a or a Blackface Super Reverb. | Lost cause User Info... | Ive got a marshall JCM Slash signature head looking to trade in a simular way and it does not have reverb . I would prefer to have another mesa combo and just ad 2x12s cabs when required for shows. | Tim Z User Info... | Well the original Mesa Tubes were okay, but were nearing the end of their life. The Svetlana's or JJ's sound MUCH BETTER :) I have talked to the folks at Mesa Boogie, and I seriously doubt that having switched the power tubes would have voided any service from them. I think it is common practise for users to try different power tubes with any amp. The amp has never caused me one problem and has been a real workhorse in the studio. | Tim Z User Info... | Well, I find that extremely hard to believe, but it is kind of irrelevent anyway, since the warranty for my Mark IV was only for one year. So is your point that you would have purchased this amp if I had not swapped the tubes? Or what is your point? Is this a buy'n'sell board, or is it a complaint forum? You know what this amp is, you know how great they are and if you know anything about tubes, you'll know that JJ's and Svetlana's are about the best replacements available for 6L6 amps.
