laprider User Info... | dude if you put a tube head in a cardboard box and ship it via UPS..it WILL get fucked trust me. you don't want to be refunding someones money. You have to seperately pack all the tubes. And wrap the head in Taped up bubble wrap and then box it. I awlays line my box with 1/2 plyw id. Its a hassle...but have you ever tried to collect a claim from a shipping company.. my experience thats all - Thu, 10 Mar 2005 2:40pm
[+} User Info... | long and mcquade. they have boxes from actual marshall heads that will fit your amp like a glove. plywood is up to your judgement. - Thu, 10 Mar 2005 2:55pm
Lucius User Info... | Ya, I got some kickass instructions from another forum. I guesss I gotta look for another box. Cheers Lucius Pull the tubes, wrap them in bubble wrap securely and separately. I like to put them back inside the head chassis, but with enough bubble wrap to wedge them in, so they don't rattle around in there. Double box. Put it inside one box that is tight and well packed. Then put that box inside another box, and pack it in so well that the inside box won't move at all during shipping. Put the amp head inside a garbage bag or some other plastic wrapping, in case the box gets wet/punctured. The plastic will protect it from moisture. Put extra tape on all places where the cardboard pieces meet (all joints). If you have another garbage bag big enough, put the entire contents of the outer box (inner box, and peanuts) inside it. (The big 50 gallon yard bags are good) That way, if the outer box gets ripped or torn at one of the corners, all your packing peanuts won't spill out of the box, leaving your inner box less protected. Hope all of those make sense. - Thu, 10 Mar 2005 3:02pm
