David User Info... | hey. looking for an amp/cab for a synth, a bass amp is probably what i'll wind up going with to handle the wide range of frequencies, i imagine. needs to be super loud. don't care if it's ugly, don't care if it sounds like shit, just needs to be stupid loud, cheap, and reliable. thanks! - Mon, 21 Nov 2011 8:43pm
zedius User Info... | For a synth you must be looking for a PA or some monitor speakers? I've never played a synth through a bass amp, but I don't imagine I would want to... I was wondering about this earlier: http://victoria.en.craigslist.ca/msg/2705407130.html It's on hold, though. What the hell are you working on right now? Colour me intrigued! :) - Tue, 22 Nov 2011 1:47pm
Dopebilly User Info... | if your up island i have a yamaha 4 x 12 keyboard cab (200 watts) with an old peavey 120 standard (solid state) head sitting unused in my shop ....big old ugly and LOUD for 150$ - Thu, 24 Nov 2011 9:27pm Edited: Thu, 24 Nov 2011 9:28pm
David User Info... | it's for my new/old project. used to run the synth through an old peavey PA with 2 4x12 tower cabs, then through my peavey 5150 guitar amp and marshall 4x12 cab, but i really want more low end evil for some of the weird sounds we use. this is the project, it's called regulator: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZUqmCt-KOg i think i've found a set (crate bass head, 15" cab, 12" cab w/ tweeter) that will work but if not i'll give you a holler, dopebilly. man, this messageboard has changed! remember all the big forum battles back in the late 90's and early 00's? everyone ripping on that guy's weird alien project, whatever it was called. this place feels like a ghost town now. i think it's a sign of the victoria live music scene though, which i also think has really dried up in recent years. - Thu, 24 Nov 2011 9:55pm Edited: Thu, 24 Nov 2011 9:56pm
