lonemonk User Info... | I'm being facetious, but Why? Properly muffled, bigger is always better. A useless post, I know, cause you probably have a very good reason... - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 3:04pm
[+} User Info... | bigger isn't always better. i've heard a 22 sound just as big as a 28 with a proper mic. much smaller.. which is a huge plus when travelling. - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 4:20pm
mcecill User Info... | 28" kick drum? cmon, thats a rarity. With the exception of some really well built top quality 24" kicks, anything bigger than 22" just loses focus and sounds muddy. A good quality 22" shell tuned propery and miked well will sound bigger and more focused than bigger sizes. That greenish Tama Starclassic kick that JAF was playing at much does Victoria was a 20" I believe, it sounded HUGE. - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 5:37pm
Japanese Air Force User Info... | Yessir. I believe that was a 20". My kit has an 18" kick and when it's tuned well, it pumps out some good volume... especially with some decent miking. Besides, if you get a 24" or bigger, you just have to lug it around everywhere. (: ~JAF - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 12:06am
