Lee User Info... | Along with my 2-yr.-old "Dean" 12-string, ( $600.00 firm), I am also selling my "Art & Lutherie" 6-string. It is handmade in Quebec, 5 yrs. old, and has a beautiful, rich, mellow tone. ($300.00 firm). Because I need the $$$, I have decided to sell my 1999, handmade, European-built "Johnson" steel-bodied dobro. It even has a built-in pick-up.It is in excellent condition! ($1400.00 firm). These are all great deals for any musician. Each price includes carrying case and leather strap. These are exceptionally beautiful, valueable instruments, and you must see them to believe the deals I am offering!!! Call me, Lee, and leave a message @ (250) 388-5010, or e-mail me @ href='http://[email protected]' http://[email protected]<' target='_blank'>target='_blank'>http://[email protected]</a> cash only. thanx - Tue, 23 Nov 2004 4:01pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | Does your Art & Lutherie stay in tune? I've never been able to get one to hold its tune..... Could be they were lemons.... - Sun, 28 Nov 2004 2:12am
Lee User Info... | Hey knife ghost, thanx for your interest. yes, as a matter of fact, my Art & Lutherie stays in tune very well. so does the Norman. the dobro not quite as well. both the Norman and Art & Lutherie are hand-crafted in Quebec, where I'm from. these are superior instruments, (and I am speaking from 35 years experience as a guitarist),say, compared to Yamaha, Yamaki, or any other mid-range acoustic guitar which is on the market to-day, priced in the $500 - $700 range. In fact, anyone looking to buy a guitar in that price range, should definitely consider Norman, Seagull, and Art & Lutherie. As a guitarist of 35 years experience, I highly recommend those 3 names. you will not be dissapointed. perhaps knife ghost got a lemon, which can happen with any product. however, my experience has been that these are fine instruments, and well worth the investment. - Sun, 28 Nov 2004 9:35am
Pierce User Info... | I have to agree with Lee. Those 3 names are excellent acousitics. I have played em all. - Sun, 28 Nov 2004 9:42am
Dirk User Info... | In defense of Yamaki, I own a late '70s vintage acoustic which sounds just beautiful and also happens to hold its tune very well (although the nut has been modded). This one was well above the $500-700 price range even when it was new, and it's a quality instrument. Just gets better with age. D - Sun, 28 Nov 2004 10:19pm
