| moron User Info... |  The TX81Z is A 4 operator FM synth of late 80s vintage which is sort of like a DX7 with some extra waveforms but a few less algorithms (capable of about the same pallette of sounds). FM is known for wicked basses, distinctive leads and weird noises and while this unit does only have 8 notes of polyphony, as a dedicated bass module it's more than decent. It's a rack so you need a MIDI controller of some sort to use it. If you have a controller that can send system exclusive, you can adjust the operators frequencies on the fly for some mad science.
