[+} User Info... | in search of a ibanez DE-7 delay. [email protected] >>> - Sat, 26 Jun 2004 4:11pm
james User Info... | how come the ibanez are they better than the boss dd3's and those? - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 1:43am
cooper User Info... | They have a switch for Digital Delay and Echo modes. I guess you could say the delay mode isn't as pronounced as a Boss digital delay (DD-3 for example), but the echo mode is very warm and many consider it to be on par with vintage analog delays that fetch lotsa $$$. A lot of people don't like the Boss 'cause it sounds "too digital" and sterile. Personally I quite like the DD-3 as a digital delay, but I have a DE7 on my board 'cause it's a little more versatile, not to mention cheaper. It's versatile and has up to 2.6 seconds of delay, and sweeeeeeeet self oscillation. - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 10:50am
[+} User Info... | you said it cooper! i'm obviously turning into a delay fiend. this and a DMM would be so sweet. to answer your question james, i don't like digital delay very much.. so i'm getting the DE-7 for it's analog emulation and the awesome self-ocsillation. maybe the delay mode for keyboards or something.. but i love dark delays. - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 1:24pm
james User Info... | thanks for the info guys, i'll have to check those out cause the dm2's and 3's are pretty expensive. - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 3:07pm
[+} User Info... | apparently the new danelectro wasabi forward/reverse delay-echo is pretty sweet as well. 3 seconds! - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 5:36pm
Colin Sick User Info... | The best delay I have ever owned and wished I never parted with was a KORG SDD2000. I am a huge fan of pitch modulation on the delay signal, and this did such a good job. you could change the wave from sawtooth to square wave and so on. In the square wave mode you could make it sound like an arpegiator. I also liked how gritty it got. It was perfect for DUB music. - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 10:35pm
Colin Sick User Info... | FOR THE RECORD I HAVE OWNED THE FOLLOWING DELAYS LINE 6 ECHO PRO (RACK) KORG SDD2000 BOSS DD-3 BOSS DM-2 AND DM-3 (ANOTHER ITEM I WISH I HAD KEPT BUT I PAID $35 BLING FOR IT AND WAS OFFERED SOME BETTER BLING FOR IT) IBANEZ DM-7 ELECTRO HARMONIX MEMORY MAN - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 10:38pm
[+} User Info... | for the record you are a jerk. a jerk who has owned almost every delay i've ever wanted. except for the echoplex and the DD-20. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 6:20pm
Colin Sick User Info... | I really want a space echo!!!!! And I also wouldn't touch the dd-20 with a ten foot pole ! - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 7:54pm
Mica User Info... | And why exactly wouldn't you touch the Giga-Delay with a ten foot pole? - Tue, 29 Jun 2004 10:31am
[+} User Info... | you are dink, colin. the dd-20 is so awesome. - Tue, 29 Jun 2004 5:52pm
polyphobic User Info... | I had the boss dd-3 at one point but, after owning the line6 dd-4 I will never go back. As a matter of fact I want two of them. A space echo would be sweet to! - Thu, 1 Jul 2004 8:48am
[+} User Info... | the DL-4 you mean perhaps? i will rent one to see what the fuss is about.. i've heard the "tweak" and "tweez" are really stupid functions. perhaps line 6 should update the DL-4 with better controls... - Thu, 1 Jul 2004 11:53am
colin sic User Info... | the reason I wouldnt touch it is cause its just an oversized DD-6. The twin pedal series never really impressed me. The only good one I found was the Chorus. The EQ could have been awesome, but they laid it out wrong, It should have been bank up and down with both buttons being bypass. Ohh the looper is really cool aswell. - Fri, 2 Jul 2004 9:48am
[+} User Info... | totally forgot about the looper. we should start a delay side project. all delay, no other effects. how's the frisco? - Sat, 3 Jul 2004 11:13pm
