| Patrick Jennings User Info... | Styles we are playing/combining/writing: Greek, samba, hip hop, reggae, canto, jazz, and ska. Influences: Cat Empire, Burning Spear, Tito Puente, World Beat, Sublime, Mad Caddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc. Players we have: DJ, djembe player, percussion/big band vocals, trumpet and sax/ operatic-quality vocals( first chair tenor in uvic choir! wowee. kind of shrew-lookin though..DONT HIT ME CAIRAN! Players we need to start really bringing out the music we really want to create: bassist who knows jazz,ska,etc. and can slap like a mofo. Guitarist who knows his rhythms and don't wank when we don't want. A drummer who enjoys all types of rhythms and doesnt mind a percussion section breaking into solos with 'im and lastly, a jazz-trained keyboardist who enjoys what he's doing and maybe one who knows what " clesmer" means. We invite all writers to the table and we have yet to find an actual practice space other than garages, etc. We are mostly Uvic first and 2nd year music students. that is all. - Tue, 14 Sep 2004 11:41pm | ||
