| Erin User Info... | Hey y'all, my name's Erin and I am the former keyboardist/backup vocalist for White Chocolate Conspiracy, a local funk/rock band which formed in 1998 and played together until 2001. We played gigs at Steamers, the Blues House, Thursdays, the Cambie, Felicitas, the UVic Welcome Back Barbeque and some private parties and charitable events. In the end we parted ways to pursue different musical and personal interests. After a brief stint with another local band who never quite decided on a name, I discovered I was pregnant and retired from music temporarily. Our son is now 16 months old. I am now looking to get back into things. I�m looking for something a little edgier and weirder. Maybe a kind of electronica/trip-hop/funk/fusion/acid jazz/rock yumminess. I'm looking for laid-back, creative people -with manageable egos - to jam with. Eccentric people rock! I'm not into playing sterile pop or formulaic music. I like genre-bending. I'm interesting in experimenting with unusual instruments, sounds and effects. I'd like to start out just having some fun playing together -'cause I do like to have fun - and we can see where it goes from there. If things work out maybe we could get more serious about writing and playing some shows. I have listened to and played many different styles of music over the years, including classical, jazz, rock, singer-songwriter, world music, funk, pop, hip-hop, r&b, electronica, folk, indie and more. Some of the artists I am listening to lately are Soul Coughing, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Mouse on Mars, Boards of Canada, Beck, Chet, Coldplay, Bjork, Pedro the Lion, Stina Nordenstam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nightmares on Wax, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Mazzie Star, Medesky Martin & Wood, The Dears, Rage Against the Machine, Jamiroquai, Dave Matthews, Modest Mouse, Interpol... basically all kinds of stuff.
