| Shane Walters User Info... |  My names Shane Walters, I'm an independent, self managed Roots/Blues artist from Melb Australia. I’m looking to touch base with some musos before I head over to Canada on the Mid-April. With just me, and a guitar for anywhere up to 6months. During this time I’m looking at touring through B.C, Ontario, Quebec and a few places in New York, to promote my music and new EP anywhere I possibly can along the way. I’ll be arriving in Vancouver about the 14thth of April, and looking to be in town/B.C for maybe 2-3 weeks, head up to Whistler for a bit, then fly to New York and slowly make my way east, to Montreal. I’ve been playing around my home city of Melbourne, and Australia for the last 5ys or so, and at many small and larger festivals along the way. From what I’ve heard from friends, Canada has a lush festival scene, and crowds with welcoming ears towards Australian music. But what I’m looking for is some local artists that would to help line up a show or two together in one of your local venues, with another local act on the bill too. There’s no point me trying to do headline gigs in another country first tour, I would rather meet good people that just love playing music, and the people they play em too. So I’m just looking for some likeminded musicians/bands, which would be interested in doing some shows together…..Interested? Please get back to me asap, so I can start locking some dates in. The time frame I’m looking at is. April 16th-May Vancouver May1st -14th- Whistler Mid May head to Winnipeg area for a week.? May 22ndStraight to New York to do some shows with Australian artist Matt Irvin, who’ll have been study and playing music there since March. (or by pass Whistler and head to NY from Winnipeg) Early June, head back to Canada through Buffalo, then London Oakville, and Toronto. End of June, I’m playing at a Festival in Bala(near Toronto) on Canadian day weekend. Mid July, make my way to Ottawa for a week on my way to Montreal to meet up with Matt again.
