_Griphin_ User Info... | Check it... http://members.shaw.ca/Griphin/ -=- The start of many gig posters I can finally scan with my new flatbed scanner. Enjoy!!! I have a wall of posters to scan in, and yes, I really like that Ripcordz poster I scanned in, good work!!! BTW: A majority of the posters I've had to scan in in 4 parts, so sorry if some parts seems conjointed. Eventually this website will metamorphisus (sp?) into VDRP's website. - Sat, 5 Nov 2005 8:45pm
Jesse The Malcontent User Info... | If you want to throw any of these up - http://malcontent-media.com/graphicdesign.htm Cheers Griph. - Sun, 6 Nov 2005 4:08pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Wow I wish I had a number of those gig posters, least Jason was nice enough to give me that Hong Kong Blonde gig poster, and that I made the scan look decent. - Sun, 6 Nov 2005 6:08pm
hijakt User Info... | Griphin, great idea for a website. Have you picked up the book 'the art of modern rock'? It's massive and chalk full of gig posters. You can get it at the library. One suggestion for your site would be to perhaps group the posters by year, as it is not apparent in the posters themselves. Just a thought. ~ Jack - Sun, 6 Nov 2005 9:21pm
Jesse The Malcontent User Info... | Both The Book Of Rock and book of modern rock are amazing. Highly recommend it. - Sun, 6 Nov 2005 9:42pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | That's what I should think about doing next. I actually wanna change it so when a gig poster is displayed it actually lists off some information about the poster. - Sun, 6 Nov 2005 10:54pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Hey wow, OK here's an example of what can be done, but always check the website for updates. I finally scanned in one of my favorite gig posters, the one that has the female shooting pool, I believe Jason Brown did the artwork for that on his computer. I've also scanned in the Ripcordz poster I have (w/AWT and Hoosegow). BTW Hijakt, I was thinking about sorting them by year, it depends if I have more then the screen will fit displayed. I've only got about 40 gig posters hanging on my wall. - Mon, 7 Nov 2005 12:04pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | I keep forgetting about Punk History Canada's gig poster collection, someone mentioned I should donate the gig posters I have to there collection. I'm gonna wait till I finish them and then donate all my posters to there. I also wish I had a few of the color posters BrandXMedia has. Some really nice artwork there. - Mon, 7 Nov 2005 3:21pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | UPDATE!!! Finally I scanned in the booklet which came with the Medium Raw comp. Take a look at the history of Victoria (well, some of the history, at least), booklet is in PDF format. - Fri, 11 Nov 2005 1:49pm
rickylong User Info... | Hey Griph Hope your feeling better... cool start on something that can be huge! I will contribute tons later... if you want. If'n anyone is interested in American punk/hardcore classic gig posters the book that should be bought is Fucked Up and Photocopied... it is incredible! Amazon.ca has it or http://www.gingkopress.com/_cata/_popk/fuap-pb.htm cheers all -ricky jak - Sat, 12 Nov 2005 10:37pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Awesome idea Ricky, thing is I just wanted to have somewhere temporarily to put my gig posters, eventually I plan to donate it all to PunkRockCanada.ca soon (I get 10 megs for my Shaw webspace, I don't know if I'll have enough space). If you have gig posters, be sure to do the same thing, PunkHistoryCanada is an awesome resource!!! Now, what I really want to do is scan in all the posters Brainless has hanging on his walls (he's got way more then I have hanging in my hallway). Hopefully once I get over this cold/flu/bronchitus I'll be able to talk to him in person about it. Oops, I was just chatting with Nicole from PunkHistoryCanada and she's look for stuff from 1987 or earlier FYI. BTW: That's what Cretin used to look like years back. I found it in Tim Crow's zine Youth Plague!!! (I think Crow released that zine) - Sun, 13 Nov 2005 12:16am
