Livevic Scott User Info... | http://www.letsfixcancon.ca/ Check it out, this guy in Toronto has developed a bit of an idea on how to make the Cancon laws a little more effective in helping develop canadian talent rather then giving free spins to Avril. - Tue, 3 May 2005 4:29pm
Lythic Matt User Info... | Funny, I just got this an e-mail today and was thinking about posting it, but then you did. I'm really stoked on this idea because there really is no point in havnig a law that gives Nickelback and Nelly Furtado more play. The main gripe I have with this idea is that there's not a clear distinction on the site between an "Established Artist" and a "National Artist", but I'm sure that it could smoothed out somehow, even if it was just the difference between going platinum or not. I'm pretty cynical about this happening, however, because I can't really imagine the big record labels letting anything loosen their grip on the market. But... it'd be really nice. Go sign the petition. Go. Seriously. - Tue, 3 May 2005 4:52pm
Mi*coll* User Info... | Ya, the definitions need to be a bit more rigorous, but it seems like a good idea. - Tue, 3 May 2005 11:14pm
ML7Mike User Info... | On a similar but different note, the USINS approved petitioned changes to the post-911 P2 Visa slow approval times and a petition to allow bands that tour the US to maintain a fluid process of getting a P2, They approved, put it before the Whitehouse, and an announcement was supposed to have been made in March. However, the only significant change that Ive seen in March is that the US will now allow lodging and food to count partialy as payment.. - Wed, 4 May 2005 9:07am
