I can't believe it!" and I am glad it wasn't because I'm just not feeling that way. I don't think the world has gotten any worse, I just think I'm getting used to all the shit that goes on. I don't read the news or watch it on tv. Some people think that it's your responsibility to keep track of world events like that but why would I do it if it's just some negative slant trying to convince me the world is a disgusting place? I already know the world is full of disgusting people and things. And also good things like hopping over puddles of rain with my girlfriend while we are making our way to a bus stop early in the morning. | SPRING - LOADED User Info... | I think every bully should read a book called " A Child Called It", its a really sad true story about this guys childhood, he was so badly abused at home by his mother, she used to make him eat his little brothers dirty diapers, she starved him, beat him ect....and he says in the book that his only refuge was school where he was beaten, pissed on and had his lunch taken from him, but it was better than being at home.....could you imagine?.....i like the line in the 6th sense where his wife says " you teach kids to be strong in situations where most adults would piss themselves".......i hope all the people who get picked on and pick on people can realize there is life after school.....and life outside of a abusive home! - Fri, 20 Apr 2007 5:44pm | ||

All are equally to blame. It would be great to line all the guilty parties up and let the victims and their families have target practice. Sometimes you got to give the offenders a dose of reality to smarten them up. Too bad the gunman shot himself. Violent gun-fantasy writings (which were critiqued in his creative writing class), assessments from the school's counseling services saying he'd lost it, fuck, he even sent videos to every media outlet in town the morning of. Now, there was no way of knowing if he would _actually_ do it or if he was just weird, but come on. Do people have to start pulling triggers before we say "wow, you're really angry and messed up, do you want to talk about it?" More hugs, that's what I say. Find the sketchiest looking loner you can find, the most cracked out homeless person, the meanest prick cop, and hug them. | more info User Info... | Sorry Spring-Loaded, if I'd known you were likely to get upset or take it personally I would have taken more time to write my post. As it was I should have at least written "the facts" rather than "your facts". And it has nothing to do with anyone being a genious, it has to do with hearing the guy's story. Knife-Ghost got what I was getting at. I heard the shooter was known to police because at least 2 girls had made harrassment complaints and he'd even been institutionalized at one point after showing wierd behaviour. People had complained that they didn't feel comfortable around him (or being in a classroom with him) and avoided him entirely. The one thing he didn't do apparently, was make DIRECT threats. Everyone asks "did he threaten you?" and if the short answer's no then its like you're on your own. Meanwhile, I guess angry/violent outbursts out of nowhere, excessive reactions to minor or made up things, and paranoid, delusional rantings just pass off as entertaining to people who aren't obvious targets. When its gotten to that point, I seriously don't think a hug is going to do anything more than confuse and freak out the person.
