WILLEM User Info... | talk about a big load, we should give the guy a medal for helping aid people in pain, Its a medicine... anyone who helps cancer patients deal with their pain and suffering, should not be sent to the USA for punishment... I say... You Americans can send those two bomber pilots who dropped a nice little present on our troops... Then maybe we can hand over our prince of pot. But I doubt it.... We Canadians have been showing too much weakness. But hell why not bend over and take it our asses eh. He should recieve Knight-hood for standing up for what he believes in, and helping cease people's suffering. HEY DEA, !@#$ YOU! - Sat, 20 Aug 2005 9:34am
J User Info... | hes being arrested for selling seeds in the states, which is illegal... i stand beside the pot movement but there really is no need to smoke ounce doobies to get the point across or have huge rallies/legions of unmotivated pot smoking hippies complaining they aren't allowed to smoke their shit... I smoke weed and i've never had a run in with the law. The only people i know of having problems with the law and weed smoking are those who decide its morally and socially ok to roll up an ounce worth and smoke it in front of city hall trying to make a statement or hop on a band wagon... much like every supporter of mark emery. he's not being arrested for helping people with their pains and sufferings of terminal illness'... hes selling seeds for people to grow illegal(in the minds and eyes of the states) THC creating plants. Since the U.S. isn't allowed to fuck with our lumber they may as well fuck with our drug policies. Im not disagreing with the above arguement but im simply saying there's better tact that could be put into the movement of the legalization or decriminaliztion of marijuana. Fairly, mark emery should be charged... but here and not in the states. I do not agree with the states trying to have him handed over, but i also dont agree with the many bandwagon junkies that complain and fucking whine about it and sit there smokin' on a joint(what the fuck are you complaining about... your smoking a joint?!?!?). I remember when my family and mark emery started the B.C. Marijuana party, i signed some word infested form nominating mark for a seat in our government... I know mr. emery first hand, hes a brilliant millonaire who knows where to put his money. In the end he knows and we know nothing will happen to him... so dont get so worked up over it - Sat, 20 Aug 2005 10:07am
WILLEM User Info... | yeah, this is just a start to the rest of the bull-shit the US is gonna press on us. So dont evan try to say everything is fine, cuz its not. Get busted in Calgary with 38 pounds, your bail is 1000$ dollars. Get 2 years house arrest. ooooooo, its a fuckin federal offence. sell some seads to the us, get your bail set at what? 50,000$, and possibly serve time in a pen in the states good grief charlie brown. I say PHUCkEMALL. especially the DEA. Get out of our country you are not welcome here. - Sat, 20 Aug 2005 10:28am
J User Info... | so your trying to tell me that your case of 38lbs is equvalent to the size of mark emery's seed business? i shudder at the thought... if emery's seed biz wasn't a million dollar biz then maybe the states wouldn't be such a bother... but when your dubbed 'the prince of pot' then one tends to think you are a leader of some sort... therefore the United States will attack the leader. From your original statement it just sounds like another complaining fool who likes to smoke pot... get over it, cause i know mark has... btw) did u know that there are u.s. officials 'aiding' the victoria police in their 'fight against drugs'. So before you start telling the states to stop messin' with our shit, you better convince our law enforcement that its a bad idea first cause they need all the help they can get - Sat, 20 Aug 2005 12:10pm
dumpstermesh User Info... | I know a guy who took some pot into the states and spent two years in a us prison for it. He didn't get any help from any Canandians other than putting his dog to sleep. It's been over four years since he's been out and he is only now free from the addictions he formed while in prison. He is actually one of the lucky ones. - Mon, 22 Aug 2005 2:36am
XY-420 User Info... | The USA will do that they want, to whomever they want and if it's unconstitutional or contravening to other countries laws, they just write new ones . If you lose a case in world court, you just drag your heels or just plain ignore them , what the fuck is anyone going to do ? They've owed the softwood industry alone BILLIONS of dollars for years and years of sanctions or tariffs . Should we put the same restrictions and tariffs ? Canada and other countries exports far more to them then they import, that would be asinine. The US has the bucks and the backing to drag court cases out forever and even come up with some rediculas counter suits to slow down or bog down an over burden judical system . We'll always be licking the bag of the US and cave to their every whim . It's the Canadian way . For a country the espouses to Democracy , equal judicial treatment, Liberties and freedoms for all, they sure don't afford other counties the same rights . Of course they've taken a lot of rights and privileges away from their own people in the name of homeland security . So whatchyagointado ?! I hate those rallies for legalization of weed that look like a bunch of stoners blatantly smoking up in public and thumbing their noses at the laws . If it was the legalization of alcohol ,people getting pissed in public or proving their defiance by drinking large amounts to prove a point, would come cross bad . It looks from the outside that you're all addicts (no matter how silly it may sound), over indulgent people with problems who can't control themselves . How about a rally that NO ONE smokes up ? Huh ? To show that we can control our usage in public and are the average working stiffs , homemakers, doctors, or even a politician. That proving we can enjoy a puff at the appropriate times and have self control . But alas no one wants it to be legal, not even the growers and distributors . Why would they ? - Mon, 22 Aug 2005 5:15pm
Willem User Info... | I really get a kick out of it all, I can laugh it off. You know, turn a blind eye to it. Naw, I like to speak my mind. LEGALIZE IT Ya know, we could grow a lot more up here in Canada if it was legal.... Then maybe our government, and the states could eventually shake hands on a deal to export our much nicer product to all the people of the USA. I wonder what the DEA would think of this concept. Im sure they are working on it.... I think its a big conspiracy for the USA to gain control over our marijuanna production, so they can steel our methods for their own use. You'lle see, they smoke pot too man. LOL - Tue, 23 Aug 2005 7:36am
J User Info... | legalization would be global death of canada, with the legaliztion of one drug would come the total legaliztion of most drugs, and besides why would dealers want it legal?? if it were legal, going to a dealer would be like going to a cold beer and wine store and paying extra for the fridge fee, when i could go to the gov't run store and rock the cheapness... and very well put XY-420.. i totally agree with all the rallies and legions of patchulie smellin' pot smokin' - Tue, 23 Aug 2005 11:31am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Heh... did you know marijuana is supposed to help those that have had Epilepsy? I apparently had a seizure when I was in hospital. Oh and I take Dilantin also. http://www.rxmarihuana.com/epilepsy.htm - Tue, 23 Aug 2005 4:06pm
lonemonk User Info... | Yep legalize it. Nothing short of that will do the trick. Dealers don't want it to be legal, and thats half the point. Governments and police agencies are spending a shitload of money. Why should we control it? Do people not trust themselves or what? Its a fucking weed for christsake! Look into the history of it, and tell me why it is illegal in the first place. Its to control you and me people, and to have a reason to spend mountains of tax money. - Tue, 23 Aug 2005 4:11pm
J User Info... | ok i agree that it would be good to have it legalized but does that point get across when theres hundreds of people gathered in a public place choking down fatties like there is a limited supply? It doesn't exactly send the greatest message and of course it shows the "type" of people that smoke "it"... yes granted its a weed and opium is just a flower but it all has to come from somewhere regardless if its concocted or grown, in the eyes of the majority(not here thank god) its all a drug... and in the eyes of those people; legalization of pot would lead to the legalization of everything just short of meth... as for the epilepsy, yes it does help cause a friend of mine is epileptic and it calms him down... as for pain, im not so sure that it 'takes' it away but im sure as hell positive its been a help.... but then i've also seen people go into a marijuana induced seizure(once not often)... at anyrate continuing this conversation would be like trying to convince the church abortion is a good thing... an age old debate leading to nothing... im going to smoke a joint(im not against the legalization of pot, but i can also see where the argument is coming from... even if its naive and controlling) - Tue, 23 Aug 2005 11:38pm
M Hump User Info... | All this talk about pot is making me want to roll one up.... To legalize or de-criminalize, to export our citizens on other country's laws or to keep him here and serve the same sentence? All I can say is that Mark knew what he was doing and is probably very happy about the whole situation... What's the point of life if we don't do something that we believe in anyways? - Thu, 1 Sep 2005 6:59pm

J User Info... | money is an easy thing to believe in ;) - Fri, 2 Sep 2005 9:42am
lonemonk User Info... | I understand completely what you mean J. I have been in such crowds, and participated in my youth. Typically does nothing for the cause except to flaunt the ability in a city where its already tolerated as much as anywhere.... Try the same thing in Nevada or as a foreigner in Malaysia and see where it gets us. I've past the point of caring whether people consider me to be naive in thinking that it simply aught to be totally legal. I am not able to consider the alternative point of view any longer. Someone in authority needs to explain to me exactly why the substance is considered so dangerous. It's my gaurantee to you that if the money spent on prosecuting drug crime every year was spent on the transport of food, there would be no more hunger. Thats the crime of this century in one nutshell. Funny thing is I don't smoke it all like I used to. I'm lucky to have a toke a week now, but I'm more convinced of the need to ignore the laws than I ever was. It could be perfectly legal and I will never smoke it the way I did as a 20-year old. It just goes to show that laws themselves are not in any way controlling consumption; To make matters worse these laws Never have controlled consumption. Not even in prison for fuck sake. On the original Emery topic; He obviously wants to go down in history as a martyr for his cause. Good on him. He is a serious jesus-freak of sorts so I guess it fits eh? I should state clearly that I am against the idea of expousing marijuana's great medical benefits when all one really wants is to smoke in peace. I just think you should be able to use it for whatever you think it should be used for; So long as you don't try to bullshit me about why... - Fri, 2 Sep 2005 2:22pm

J User Info... | nicely put lonemonk... i couldn't agree more. Except i still smoke the stuff :P. tact is a very hard thing to find and use well these days;) - Sat, 3 Sep 2005 2:26pm
WILLEM User Info... | hmmmm. Grass is illegal, because of politics/racism, in the southern states. Uncle Sam did'nt like blacks/ mexicans/ or any other races...or their mary jane. hmmmm, i wonder if the KKK had anything to do with it. bunch of political/racist bull-shit. dont like my opinion or the truth.... people learn about what they smokin. try them cigarettes, cyanide, etc.... sure. I LOVE YOU MARY-JANE. - Sun, 4 Sep 2005 3:41pm

Shaggy User Info... | EMP let ya out on another weekend pass eh chodeboy? - Sun, 4 Sep 2005 4:40pm
420 User Info... | Willie, it goes much deeper that that. Companies like DUPONT play a much bigger roll in the politics and production of hemp. The media likes to spin a good story for all the people just to scare you, cause you know it's the stepping stone to harder drugs....bullshit! I rented a movie and during the previews the was an anti-marijuana ad, "If you buy Marijuana you are supporting Al Quaeda Terrorists in the USA that sell drugs to buy Arms” no shitting you. - Mon, 5 Sep 2005 12:14am
lonemonk User Info... | Ya, I saw that technique used as well. I found that to be completely distasteful to normal pot smokers AND muslims. The most common drugs for arms trade taking place is performed by the American government. Just ask our buddies Ollie North and G. Gordon Liddy... - Tue, 6 Sep 2005 12:08pm
