SOLARISTS - Beautiful, mournful and absolutely enthralling, Solarists set listeners adrift in intoxicating melodies and dreamy guitar backdrops that are a little rough around the edges, drawing on indie-rock spirit and simplicity. Their upcoming debut "The Channel's Twilight" is a loose meditation on the politics of love, the state and modern disillusionment. The album was recorded at the Hive by Jordan Koop and Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Destroyer, P:ano, Radio Berlin) and is being released by Darling Records (Ashley Park, Saturnhead). Solarists frontman Cameron McLellan is also the bass player and second guitarist for local space-rock outfit Hinterland.===========
