Simon Fisk Trio

Bassist Simon Fisk has been playing fantastic, very individualistic jazz since the early 1990s. Strongly committed to exploring the trio format, Fisk has been collaborating with pianist Chris Gestrin and veteran drummer Jerry Granelli for several years, developing an intuitive rapport that makes for exciting and spontaneous music-making of the highest order. Whether the mood is lyrically introspective or they’re cooking up a densely abstract, hard-driving groove, Fisk and his band-mates play contemporary jazz that is smart, compelling and beautifully crafted.
