Event Description
Join Saanich’s Community Youth Poet, Bennett Gilleland, for an evening celebrating poetry, creativity and emerging voices.
The Poetry Bazaar is a free, all-ages event bringing together youth and emerging poets. Browse and shop original poetry works, including chapbooks, zines, pamphlets and poetry collections, and discover new voices through live poetry readings.
The evening will also feature opportunities to connect with local poets and if you’re looking for something a little more personal, you can even have a custom poem created for you on the spot! Refreshments will be available.
Whether you’re a longtime poetry lover, an aspiring poet, or simply curious about what young writers in our community are creating, come by, listen, browse and connect.
Hosted by Bennett Gilleland, Saanich’s Youth Community Poet.
