Victoria Folk Music Society(VFMS) weekly gathering -- Everyone-welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Dublin 2 with Martin Nolan at 9pm; Friendship Hall, 1110 Hillside Ave, $8 cash

Bridging the gap between the east coast of Ireland and the east coast of Vancouver Island, between a song and its story, a tune and its tradition, comes a collaboration between three of the finest practitioners of their respective crafts!

Terry Boyle, native of Dublin, singer, guitar player, and song writer, delves into his vast Celtic repertoire coming up with a song or story for almost every occasion.

Ceilidh Briscoe, native of Victoria and fiddler extraordinaire, is currently a member of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and proud to have performed around the globe with the world renowned “Riverdance”.

Martin Nolan, also from Dublin, is a much-travelled master of Irish (uilleann) pipes and whistles, in demand as both a recording artist and performer.

Together, Terry, Ceilidh, and Martin present a dynamic performance of songs and tunes in the style of an intimate kitchen concert. Always hugely entertaining, this exciting trio is not to be missed!
