TONIGHT! Sat, August 19th IMU & CiTR 101.9FM present Foundation Tour Kick Off Party w/ KRIS & Cheek @ The BACKSTAGE LOUNGE, 1585 Johnston Street, Granville Island . 9pm / $10

FOUNDATION shines live with extended jams, 4-part vocal harmonies, sweeping dynamics, and tight rhythm. A powerful presence on stage, their funky, original, jazzy rythyms and fat bass hooks serve the groove and inspire audience participation. http://www.sonicbids.com/foundation

KRIS and his Muskrat bunch (Michael on standup bass and Dave on drums) deliver "Hick-Hop", a stellar blend of hip-hop, heavy on storytelling and knee-slapping sampled beats. Come on down and have a country funk hip-hop hoedown good time!

CHEEK - Hip hop meets funk-ravaged jazz with seductive guitar riffs, catchy hooks and flawless flow. Emily Roop's lyrical prowess and sultry vocal style combined with her well-rounded sense of cheek completes this dynamic band.
