NOTES:
Victoria’s first “Opera in Concert,” will featured the VPC with two soprano soloists and a tenor soloist to present one the world’s great love stories – grieving Orpheus’s trip into the Underworld to reclaim his beloved Eurydice. While many composers have set this story to music, Gluck’s rendition is the most lovely, with stunning duets and choruses, fitting for the myth of Orpheus, who played the most beautiful music every heard. Simon Capet is developing a film of this opera.
