Formerly Qristina Brooke Bachand, Q is a consummate performer! Their contagious energy and love of Folk and Celtic music is always at the forefront, moving audiences with energetic and spirited performances which showcase their love of fiddling, song, and story-sharing.
Q has studied classical violin; however, it’s their fiddle skills that have always truly shone! Receiving numerous regional, national and international fiddle awards and scholarships, Q also graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Limerick with an MA in traditional Irish Music Performance.
In recent years Q has blossomed and grown into their (nonbinary) gender identity and life's purpose. Singing Phil Ochs and Dick Gaughan-inspired rebel ballads and folk songs interspersed with rip-roaring fiddle tunes, Q’s performances will equally inspire as well as bring you to tears or have you clapping along and stomping your feet!
