Event Description
The Memorial Drag Ball Game began in 1994, born from a desire to find solace and joy during a time of immense loss. A group of friends (many of them drag performers) came together in the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis, seeking a moment of relief from grief and politics through something seemingly simple: a ball game.
Now attracting up to 1,000 spectators, the Memorial Drag Ball Game has become a vibrant event where people gather to embrace unity, revel in absurdity, and celebrate drag culture at its most joyful. This is more than just a day. It's a moment where we can come together for the love of community, and for the love of drag.
