The Miguelito Valdés Trio brings the rich rhythms and melodies of Cuba to life with vibrant, all-ages performances rooted in tradition and joy. Led by renowned Cuban trumpeter and vocalist Miguelito Valdés—who has performed with legends like Celia Cruz and Chucho Valdés—the Victoria-based trio delivers a dynamic blend of Cuban son, salsa, bolero, and Latin jazz.
Each performance is a rhythmic celebration, featuring world-class musicianship and infectious energy that invites dancing, listening, and connection across generations. Whether on festival stages or in more intimate settings, the trio’s sound transports audiences straight to Havana’s golden era while adding a West Coast flair.
The University of Victoria Cuban Salsa Club will be joining us to enliven our massive dancing area. This club is for those who would like to learn and dance a partner dance called Cuban Salsa. It is known as Casino in Cuba. When we meet we teach Cuban Salsa in a circle where we exchange partners with every new move! It is called Rueda de Casino. Everyone at ArtisTREE is welcome to join!
