Did someone say PSYCHADELIC YACHT-ROCK PARTY?!

Throwdown is coming in hot this summer with a special WEDNESDAY edition, so get ready for July 16th and come get SWEPT OFF YOUR FEET by Yacht-Pop Rockers, Paris Pick & The Pricks and Psychedelic Indie Rock artist, Damien Alblas as they hit the road once again for a summer of sonic adventure! Fresh back from performing at notorious Canadian music festivals such as Arts Wells, Valhalla Fest, Pembina River Nights and en-route to Pachena Bay Music Fest and more, Victoria will be lucky to catch these two amazing bands in-between their touring chaos!

Known for her infectious vintage pop charm and powerhouse vocals, Paris Pick brings fierce yacht-pop energy and 70s soul to the stage—backed by her all-star band, The Pricks. In her career so far, Pick has opened for artists such as Brass Camel, Jennifer Castle, and Wax Mannequin to name a few, and has been recognized by Canadian media personalities, George Strombo from The Strombo Show as well as Ed the Sock from Much Music. In 2022 Pick was placed on CBC Music’s Toyota Searchlight: Top 100 Artists List and in 2025 Pick is gearing up to release her third full length album.

Sharing the spotlight, Damien Alblas delivers heartfelt, hard-hitting indie-rock anthems that resonate with raw emotion and undeniable stage presence. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, and Pink Floyd, Alblas channels classic influences into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Throughout his career, he has opened for notable acts including Doug and the Slugs, Valdy, B.A. Johnston, and Dustin Bentall, and is currently hard at work on his debut album.

So, get ready for a night of HIGH-OCTANE performances, RETRO FLAIR, and UNFORGETTABLE TUNES that’ll have you dancing, rocking out, and falling in love—all at once. For this show Pick and Alblas are joined by Victoria BC’s very own hip-hop heavy hitting rap MC, BOSS SAINT B.
