In BC, ‘old growth’ refers to senior trees acting as hubs to support younger trees by sharing resources and information via an amazing underground network. With their wide repertoire of original compositions and the release of five CDs between them, Andy Ruszel and Mike Sandava have the experience that makes their band name totally appropriate! As lead singer and guitarist, Andy has played in a variety of West Coast bands, including Cowichan Valley favorites Seadog and Andrews & Lawrence, while Mike on mandolin and guitar has performed in top clubs and festivals across western Canada and played backup on more than a dozen albums. Old Growth will be joined tonight by bassist extraordinaire, Al Eskalsom.
