Victoria BC – Aventa, in collaboration with the University of Victoria, is proud to host three concerts dedicated to new music at UVic. This 35-year retrospective celebrates the contribution UVic composers have made to our community and Canadian cultural life. These concerts include a chamber orchestra concert, a small ensemble concert and a concert dedicated to electronic/computer music. The composers featured are Martin Bartlett, Dániel Péter Bíro, Christopher Butterfield, John Celona, Rudolf Komorous, Michael Longton and Andy Schloss. This concert series is presented with the assistance of the Victoria Foundation and the British Columbia Arts Council.
For further information and interview opportunities with the composers, please contact Bill Linwood at (250) 592-9713 or e-mail at [email protected]
