Event Description
Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering — Everyone—welcome Jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Invisible Hands 9pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door
The members of Invisible Hands hail from four very different corners of the musical world. With guitars, fiddle, and mandolin, two songwriters, three-part harmonies, numerous genres, and standup bass duties passed around, it gets complicated but with all "Hands" on deck, they bring the pretty and the gritty together for a unique sound!
Kristia Di Gregorio’s powerful, dramatic voice commands the stage and sets free soul-filled songs that amble through the twists of her winding life's path. Mike Sadava writes quirky, often humorous tunes in genres ranging from Bluegrass to Jazz about the merits of Quentin Tarantino movies to the joys of the "golden years”. Nancy Grossert, the newest member of the group, shows her musical versatility on fiddle, her new passion for standup bass, and her pristine harmonies. Finally, Tony Di Gregorio ties it all together with his intricate, versatile guitar playing.
