Event Description
Join us for a Family Sunday focusing on our exhibition, Beauty of Mending: Kintsugi and Beyond!
This exhibition, featuring the work of "ceramic therapist", Naoko Fukumaru, shows us how something broken can be transformed into a work of art. This theme will run through all of our art making this Family Sunday, whether it’s playing with “accidental” brushstrokes, trying your hand at stitching on fabric patches, artistically mending hand made clay structures, or painting rich colours on creased rice paper. Everything has beauty, once we learn how to see it.
---
* Family Sundays are included with admission *
Admission is always free for:
• Visitors aged 25 and under
• AGGV Members
• Indigenous Peoples
• Support Workers
Family Sunday happens every third Sunday of the month from October – June, and is an afternoon of exploring hands-on art-making and ideas for all ages. This recurring program often features special guests like storytellers, artists, performers or musicians.
Visit aggv.ca for more details and to see what's on.
