Victoria Folk Music Society(VFMS) weekly gathering -- Everyone-welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Hill 60 at 9pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door
Weaving together styles of Country and Bluegrass with a lifetime of musical influences, Hill 60 is a Cowichan-based acoustic gathering of friends..friends like family. Heather Haseltine and Shannon Misner bring their gorgeous harmonies to Eric Morten’s guitar songs, Angela Voll celebrates the low end on bass, and Andy Cooper with his mandolin sprinkles the sparkle! Heartaches find humour, love can be fun, and life itself is a song. Formed last year and currently producing the first of their recorded songs, Hill 60 has been entertaining at community dances and events up and down Vancouver Island from 39 Days of July to Woodstove Music & Arts Festival. Gonna be fun!!
