Deep Sonic is our debut event for the newly formed Purr Project Collective, showcasing female DJs from the Island. Deep Sonic is a trip into the soundscapes of house, techno, bassy psy-tech and hypnotic moods. This is an event made for dancing and letting your body effortlessly move and groove.
Caçadora
Caçadora is a versatile selectah with favourite tastes ranging from drum and bass, UK Garage, tech house and deep psy tech. This variety inspires creative mixes with a focus on music that feels good and warms the soul. Whatever the tempo, her selections have a distinctive groove and driving basslines akin to riding a Harley across an open highway on a warm summer night. An active mainstay on the west coast electronic music scene, Caçadora has performed at shows through Western Canada and the US with festivals including
Shambhala Festival, What The Festival, Luminosity Festival, Diversity Festival, Otherworld, Wonderment, Lamplight and Inshala Festival. You'll catch her most frequently performing in and around her current hometown of Victoria BC (unceded and traditional territory of the lək̓wəŋən (Lekwungen) people).

Caçadora
Löblová
Being part of the music scene for over 2 decades, Löblová made her DJ leap to the stage at a perfect little festival in the Cowichan Valley in 2018. As an emerging West Coast DJ, making a name for herself locally and beyond, she is known for sets offering something a little different and always from a place of personal musical inspiration. Often weaving traditional and natural elements, Löblová's sets range from downtempo, tech/afro/deep/organic/melodic house, techno and trance, deep & dub techno, with a current healthy obsession of breaks and breakbeat. Koo Koo MaMa
DJ Kookoomama (Crystal) is a self taught composite of multiple artistic styles. While a successful designer of funky and quirky jewelry, an interior designer, and photographer, her first love has always been music. After immersing herself in the thriving rave scene of the early 90’s in Toronto, to the present day house scene in Victoria, BC, she emerged from the pandemic a driven, self taught DJ. Now with a handful of local shows and private events under her belt, and a regular streamer as an affiliate level twitch DJ who is slowly building a following, Kookoomama has no intention of slowing down, and is excited for what the future has in store as she hones her skill set as a DJ.

Balencia
Balencia began dipping her toes into the electronic music scene back in the early 90s at progressive house and underground clubs in Ontario, Quebec, and Vancouver, but it wasn’t until 1999 on the beaches of Southeast Asia that she fell into a deep trance. For the past 25 years, she has become known as a gatherer of the people, a purveyor of the party, a dedicated dancefloor fixture, and a collector of magnetic music. Her taste has been influenced heavily by the European progressive festival scene throughout years of adventures in Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, and by times passing through Goa during her long life in India. She is transfixed by the power of trance’s lyricless, complex layers and pulsating beats to create hypnotic journeys, to expand and elevate human consciousness, to unify and connect people from diverse ancestral origins, and to contribute to world peace. Deep Sonic is her first public offering.
