This five hour workshop with instructor Brian Globus is for CineVic Members and Non-Members, to get familiar with our three RED camera packages, anamorphic lenses, and associated peripherals, for use in production.
From opening cases to offloading footage, the session will cover a complete workflow, including camera building, menus and settings, focus and monitoring, image capture, data management and safe handling of equipment.
The course has space for nine participants, three per camera, a structure used by most professional camera crews. Teams will have a chance to rotate and try all three RED cameras.
Participants will learn how to:
build and configure cinema cameras in studio or on location
use Atlas anamorphic lenses and related camera settings
setup and operate remote follow focus and monitors
navigate commonly used menus and settings
capture footage with live stand-in performer
offload and backup memory cards to external drive
get inspired to rent and use REDs for your production!
