Dance is a central element of Jamaican culture and music. This week we're collaborating with Ketch di Vybz: a Vancouver-based production company that aims to fuel the passion, appreciation and understanding of Jamaican culture through authentic and uplifting representation of the Dancehall Dance genre.
Join Ketch Di Vybz creators Venom and Judy for an open level dancehall dance class from 10-11 and spend the rest of the night trying out your new moves to the sounds of DJs Abel and Tank Gyal pumping through the sweet sweet PK Sound bass bins...you might just close your eyes for a moment and think you're in Jamaica (we'll make sure the heat is turned up HIGH)
Remember you can catch Ting: Vancouver's longest-running reggae dancehall weekly each and every Thursday inside the Red Room: powered by PK Sound. It's the only place in the city to hear Jamaican music on a proper sound system. KABOOM!
