BRAHMS Academic Festival Overture
DEBUSSY Petite Suite
SCHUMANN Symphony No. 4
The GVYO opens its 33rd season with Brahms’ ebullient Academic Festival Overture. Petite Suite, originally written for piano four hands and later arranged for orchestra, is perhaps Debussy’s most popular orchestral work. With its four thoroughly-integrated movements played without pause, Schumann's Fourth Symphony is considered the most innovative of all his works.
