Event Description
We are delighted to have the band Auntie Kate and Uncles of Funk for a concert of great music and dance.
Highlands Music Coffee House will start its new season on October 14 with the band Auntie Kate and
Uncles of Funk. Everyone will have the opportunity to put on their dancing shoes
and dance to the beautiful Blues music!
The band has been featured extensively on the blues channel of the Galaxie network. The band is made up of:
auntie Kate on vocals and accordion
uncle Tom Bowler on guitar
uncle Joey Smith on bass
uncle Karel Roessingh on keys
and uncle Glen McMeeken on drums.

**Please note: this time, to be able to provide a place for people to have the opportunity to dance, we will hold the Highlands Music Coffee House at the
Highlands Community Hall, Address: 729 Finlayson Arm Road
Doors will open at 7:00 pm, the music will start at 7:30 pm.
Price: 10.00 if you email and reserve (see email address below) before October 9 , you can then pay when you arrive ( otherwise 15.00).
Come on your own or bring all your family, neighbours and friends along for this wonderful community
music and dance! Bring your dancing shoes too in case you won’t be able to stop yourself from dancing!
