Vox Humana presents choral repertoire spanning over 500 years. Works by Beal, Dvorák, Gesualdo, Pärt, Rheinberger, and from the composer of “the little match girl passion”, the British Columbia premiere of David Lang’s “the national anthems” accompanied by the Emily Carr String Quartet. The concert will also feature “Bush Chord”, a newly commissioned work by Victoria composer Tobin Stokes, as well as “Woefully Arrayed” by John McCabe, and written for Stile Antico.
