Event Description
Join Sidney Classical Orchestra invites you to attend its annual celebration of the excellence of young Victoria-area soloists, composers and conductors in concert on Sunday March 12 at St Elizabeth’s Church 10030 Third St. in Sidney BC.
Peter Berlin (Music in Victoria said in 2012: “Nothing is more refreshing than attending a concert of young musicians. I can think of several reasons for this: their work ethic, their obvious talent, the total absence of artistic arrogance and swagger, the excitement equally shared between the performers and their parents, and the entire audience’s genuine wish for them to succeed.”
Our 2017 Concert includes solo performance on piano (Bach, Mozart and Chopin), violin (Wieniawski), violin and viola (Mozart), cello (Haydn). Moreover we present a new work for flute and orchestra by young composer and her conducting debut with a professional orchestra.
