This is old-time music for today's old soul. The Lonesome Ace Stringband, Chris Coole (banjo), John Showman (fiddle) & Max Heineman (bass), brings grit, skill and abandon to old-time, Appalachian folk songs. The band has an instinctive rapport that comes from logging many hundreds of hours playing and entertaining together. They impart a deep respect for the roots of the music, a keen sense of innovation in their material and performance, and a transcending passion for the sound.
