BOOM is an explosive solo performance, written, directed and performed by Rick Miller that chronologically documents the music, culture and politics of the Baby Boom generation and beyond taking us through 25 turbulent years of historical events that shaped the post-World War II phenomenon. A sold-out run at the Belfry Theatre and a month long run at the Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver, BOOM continues to create a mind-blowing experience for all generations giving voice to over 100 influential figures through cutting-edge multimedia, unforgettable characters and tour-de-force storytelling. Global events unfold: the Cold War, McCarthyism, Beatlemania, Trudeaumania, JFK, MLK, Mao, Vietnam, the Apollo 11 moon landing – these incredible stories spiral into the “The Summer of Love” and BOOM ends as it began: with a new generation born into a new world order.
