Storytelling set to groovy funk and soul from Victoria BC
Event Description
Danton Jay and Heather Lynn are musicians and passionate change makers, from Victoria British Columbia. Combining their charismatic talents, they are creating intelligent, enjoyable and impactful music. Their project is a climate action oriented, story concept album called “Decades After Paris.”
Their sound is upbeat, catchy, and resonant of the soul 60’s peace loving vibe. They will be performing their new album with a antastic 5 piece band including Doug Stinson on drums, Ian McElroy on bass, Chris Van Sickle on keys, Danton Jay on vocals and guitar, and Heather Lynn on Vocals and percussion.
In celebration of their new album, this exciting evening promises to be groove filled with extended jams and sing alongs. Danton Jay has composed, produced and performed music for 10 years, performing locally and overseas. With an interest in environmental psychology and social change, Danton found his match in Heather Lynn.
Heather has spent the last decade working in the Natural Resource Management sector. She has been seeking optimal ways to drive public awareness and action as our society adapts to a changing climate. As Heather was getting back to her early roots as a jazz vocalist in 2013, she met Danton and the duo was formed.
