Event Description
As jazz bands go, the Canadian-U.S. blend of musicians that make up the CanUS sound is immediately recognized as being something different. They seem to please listeners and dancers alike. Their shows include lots of three part harmony singing - tunes you remember from the Boswell Sisters and the Mills Brothers and ranging from the 1920's to the 1940's big band tunes.
This Sunday marks 34 years of swinging jazz for Hermann who started his club in the Bastion Inn (now Bedford Hotel) and still offering world class musicians touring North America a unique music oriented club with a stage and grand piano worthy of these great artists who play for you. Food, Dance floor, all ages can enjoy Canada's oldest running jazz club.
The heart-lifting dixieland and swing repertoire they offer is fun-fun-fun. Don't miss this special occasion with guests Al Pease who was the first musician hired 34 years ago, plus founding-member of CanUS Band Jim Armstrong along with all the CanUS regulars. Other guests will drop by to contribute their music and memories to Hermann's 34th Year Anniversary Party!
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
