Join The Sociables "Variety Act" and Kitty In The City for an evening of live music featuring local Vancouver guest musician's from various groups.
The Sociables are a Variety Act out of Whistler BC. Lead by front man and multi-instrumentalist Monty Biggins, the group is made up of lead singers and multi-instrumentalists. Founded by Monty Bigginsin 2012, this group embodies the transient nature of Whistler by offering traveling musicians a medium to perform with.
The music reflects on themes of classic Americana music. Sounds of Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans done with the west coast vibes and love of getting the party started and twisting the night away.
Like the days of Hee Haw and the Rat Pack, these fellas take turns at fronting the band while sharing favorite renditions of covers spanning the ages. Chances are you'll hear them banter a little in between songs and share in a sociable with everyone in the room.
The Band holds Residencies at Maxx Fish, Crystal Lounge, Rock Bar and Grill (Chances Casino Squamish), and are hired throughout the sea to sky corridor for weddings, corporate events and private parties.
From Tapleys, Blacks Pub, Crystal Lounge, Fire Rock Lounge, Rics Grill, Maxx Fish, Garfinkels, Milestones, Merlins, Dusty's, Millennium Place and the various outdoor stages throughout Whistler, The Sociables are bringing the raw love of music, the energy, the expression to make hips shake and bring a sociable vibe to the room.
Bio for Kitty in the City:
Kitty is a vibrant and sunny feline that spreads her glow to all whom will bask within it. She's been known to light up fireflies with her ukulele strumming and calm the vocal waters with her soothing melodies. Her stories are many and pour out in abundance.
The squirrel has been gathering nuts upon the drumset for as long as he can remember. Despite never really knowing when to cross the street or when fall has really set in; he keeps all the dancers dancing and all fine timepieces ticking in time to his rhythms.
Adam, who thunders pulsing bass lines, is a Holographic Hologram... He doesn't really exist.
